With the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series taking to the Nashville Super Speedway, where Oliver had dominated half of his previous race in a late model, the 20 year old driver looked to continue his progression into NASCAR. Being one of the few drivers that have a vast understanding of the technical side of race cars, Dillon along with a couple helpers spent a week of hard work and long hours preparing the truck for the event. With minimal financial support and a three man crew, Dillon’s hard work appeared to pay of when the truck finally hit the track and was shown in the top 25 in practice.

Oliver backed up his practice speed with a qualifying lap that would put him in the 25th starting position. After his qualifying lap the team noticed that there was an excess of oil that was covering the trunk area of the truck. The team cleaned the oil leak and hoped that the already dull motor would stay together for the duration of the race.

Despite the events leading up to the green flag Dillon ran with an impressive performance to keep himself in a tight bunch of mid pack teams and trucks. Keeping himself around the top 25 nearly the whole race, Oliver fought back from one trip to the rear due to a pit road miscue.  When the race concluded Dillon was shown running in the 23rd position, which is a testament to his, and the under funded team’s, hard work.

Future race plans are yet to be determined, however there is a possibility of continuing in the 01 truck. Dillon will also be returning to Montgomery Motor Speedway on April 24th with an eye on improving his results from the first race of the Show Me The Money late model series. The first race of the series showed Dillon's #33 Chevy as the car to beat during practice and qualifying where he won the pole and set a new track record.
