Dillon Oliver came to Memphis this weekend with one thing on his mind. He wanted to leave with a guitar trophy, a crown, and the year long title 'King of the Short Tracks'. The King's Ransom 300 also marked the last event of the ASALMS season and possibly the last race at Memphis Motorsports Park.

The family-owned #33 Chevy was good throughout practice and Dillon qualified in the 10th spot. When the green flag fell Oliver worked his way safely inside the top ten and was content to just ride, knowing that patience would be key over this long 300 lap race. Nearing the 100-lap break, Oliver became involved in another driver's spin and had to restart from the rear of the field.

After the break, the green flag fell and the second hundred laps were under way. Dillon wasted no time in starting his charge to the front, knowing he needed to get by slower cars to avoid accidents. When the second hundred lap session was complete, the #33 was sitting in fourth position. The team once again put on fresh tires, and filled the car with fuel for the final one hundred laps.

Thirty laps into the last segment Dillon took the lead, which he never surrendered.

This win marked the third straight late model win for the 20 year old Bowling Green, KY native. Oliver dominated the last ASALMS event at the Iowa Speedway, and then he won the Bobby Hamilton Memorial 125 at the Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville.
